"So went to BESO last night! HERE IS MY REVIEW ---- Don't believe the hype! 1st off the pan handler greeted us before the waitress did!! Yes they allowed a pan handler into the restaurant!! 2nd a bum walks in and starts yelling at the workers and guests!! So now I'm like what's next?? The food right!! Wrong a 3rd bum walks in and yells at the bartender!! Food was a 4 out of 10! The white sangria was good but it states on the menu that it comes with fresh fruit!! I got a lime slice and lemon slice!!! Who wants to eat that!! I ordered 6 tapas and an entrees!! my Scallops and Bacon where RAW!!!!!!!! The lobster in the enchiladas didn't taste that fresh either!!! As a Culinary Proffessional my overall experience did not meet expectations."

"we love it for tappas which after we order 5 or 6 is really a meal. Must have the lamb chops, and absolute must. The sangria is good, and the ambiance is interesting. Not sure what they are trying to create there but I like it- its eclectic with a Galatian overtone."

"Beso was good. It was good food and decent drinks. I just feel like Beso is trying to be something that it's not. I dunno, if I want tapas, I'll come there. If I want spanish food, I'm going to Real Madrid. If I want sangria, I'm going to Mezcal's. The tapas are well thought out and prepared adequately. Not terribly inventive, which is what I feel they're trying to be. Maybe that's where I find fault with Beso. Beso is a great date restaurant on Staten Island. In Brooklyn or Manhattan, they would have shut down already."

"This place is great. I`ve only had the Tapas, so I can`t speak for the entrees, but I`ve never been disappointed. The beer selection is great, too. It`s also so close to the ferry that it`s the perfect place to bring your Manhattan friends who are too scared to explore the rest of the island!"
