"I'm just reviewing the Early Bird Specials. IT's a full-course meal -- soup or pasta, salad, main course and desert. The portions are generous and the quality is good. Nothing fancy, but it's great value for money. Service is friendly and neighborly -- again, nothing fancy. You can sit forever and talk and watch TV and enjoy your meal."

"Grest local dining. Not super fancy but old school good. Hot antipasto for two, prime rib, loaded baked potato, all good. Porterhouse steak, to die for. Sandwiches all well prepared and dependable. My only fear? That they change. Don't change a thing West Shore!"

"Went here with a few of my girlfriends one night for dinner, Im not from Staten Island but my friends love this place , so we went to celebarate , the atmosphere was very cozy and cute, I started with the shrimp cocktail that tasted extremely fresh and got the steak special that night. The food here is so great that we decided to make this our monthly spot to have a great dinner and some yummy cocktails. If you havent been here, your in for a real treat!"

"Food with no seasoning, TINY appetizer portions that were likely purchased frozen from Restaurant Depot and they were immolated and canned brown gravy on the steak tips.
The service was glacial and inattentive. There was dirty silverware on the table when we got there and used silverware wasn't removed from the table between course. Indeed, crumbs and there were many from the massively overdone apps, weren't cleaned between courses. When asked how dinner was by the unshaven guy bussing our table, I explained in a nice way that it was garbage. His response was to affect a minstel kind of "mammy" voice and say "Donchoo lie to me now." No apology, no manager, no acknowledgment that anything was wrong.
Were this food handed to me at a soup kitchen, I might be mildly insulted but the fact that the bill was well over $100 for awful, possibly racist service and food I wouldn't feed the homeless is an outrage. There was an opportunity at one point to address all this and that was when I complained. That opportunity was lost and I will NEVER go back there again."

"The West Shore Inn is a great neighborhood bar with a really friendly staff. I really wish it were in my neighborhood. This place probably has the best deal for steaks anywhere in the 5 boroughs. The porterhouse here is almost as good as at Peter Luger`s. You think I`m lying? Go try it."

"Went to the west shore inn on tuesday Aug 22, my wife's birthday. We arrived at about 545 and inquired about the early bird specials and did it include a bottle of wine advertised 1 bottle with two entrees, no mention of early birdfood was really great- chicken franchise for me-2 big cutlets, and stuffed flounder for my wife. We were the only 2 people in the dining area.food was served promptly but after about 10 minutes, the bus boy was looking to clean our table. I still had more than half my food in front of me. For the next 20 minutes he visited our table to see if we were finished, 10 times. There was nobody waiting for tables. When I left there were about 20 patrons and no waiting line. I do not understand why we were almost forced to vacate our table within 20 minutes of arriving I cannot imagine this place when they have Thursdayy prime rib. I guess they pull your chair from under you. Do not think I will be back"
